At Muskingum Behavioral Health, our Youth and Family Services are designed to provide comprehensive support for youth and their families in our community. We understand the importance of streamlined service delivery, which is why we have dedicated Youth and Family Services Coordinators who connect families with the necessary providers and community resources, ensuring that care is both accessible and effective.
Our team includes two licensed counselors primarily working with youth and teens. These counselors offer individualized therapy and support, helping young people navigate life's challenges, improve mental health, and develop healthy coping strategies. We work closely with families to ensure the best outcomes for their children, providing both emotional and practical guidance.
To make sure the youth of our community receive the best possible care, we coordinate care with Nationwide Children's Hospital through two key programs:
PFK links healthcare providers and Ohio's Medicaid system, allowing children to get the high-quality care they need when they need it where they need it. This includes behavioral health providers, psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed independent social workers, licensed professional clinical counselors, and licensed independent marriage and family counselors.
InCK is one of seven similar initiatives across the United States to develop a holistic model of care to help young people at risk. It brings improved health and well-being to the most vulnerable children in Licking and Muskingum counties with consistent care and assistance.
These partnerships enhance our ability to coordinate care and provide specialized services for children and teens, particularly those facing significant challenges. This support enables MBH to access additional resources and expertise for our clients.
We are also proud to work with OhioRISE, a program that aims to shift the system of care and keep more kids and families together by creating new access to in-home and community-based services.
At MBH our care coordination process is centered around collaboration and communication. Our dedicated coordinator ensures that services across various providers are synchronized. This approach minimizes gaps in care and provides comprehensive support.
We are thrilled to offer a sensory room specifically designed for children's therapy. This space is equipped to provide a calming, therapeutic environment where children can explore their emotions, improve sensory processing, and feel safe during sessions.
At Muskingum Behavioral Health, we are committed to helping families and youth build healthier, happier lives through accessible, coordinated, and compassionate care.
